Mr. K’s Super Show
Here on the Mr. K's Super Show feed, we have three podcasts that cover your music and comic book needs.
On each episode of Mr. K's Super Show, Mr. K examines, dissects, and analyzes 60s, 70s, and 80s music with the help of a special guest! No aspect of the music is too trivial as we go back to a time when music was fun, brash, and dynamic, and it was all about spending your allowance on LPs, 45s, cassettes, and CDs!
If you like the music of Led Zeppelin, then checkout our dedicated Led Zeppelin podcast, The Pod Remains The Same (co-hosted by Brad Page), where we examine the catalog of one of the greatest bands of all-time. Album-by-album, song-by-song.
If you're a comic book fan, check out our dedicated comics podcast, Back Issue Banter (co-hosted by Brad Page), where we examine the classic comics of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and the writers and artists who breathed life into them .

Guest Co-Hosts: Thee Matt Porter and Lee Conrad.Let's go back 45 years, to when a 10 year old boy discovers a new Marvel Comic featuring KISS....a book that will change his life forever, introducing him to the worlds of KISS and music. In 1977, KISS topped the Gallup Poll as most popular group and they were at the peak of their powers, ruling the roost with not one, but TWO albums that year, Love Gun and Alive II, not to mention a merchandising empire that was building KISS's legend....not to mention their bank accounts! For this episode, I brought back two heavy hitters, The KISS Room's Matt Porter and KISStory Science Theatre's Lee Conrad! I had a lot of fun yapping about KISS with these two and it was great re-examining this pivotal period in KISStory!

It's April Fools' Day and we're on a fools mission!A mission from god!Guest Co-Host Terry Hamblin and I delve into The Blues Brothers -- the music & the movie! When original Saturday Night Live cast members Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi turned their passion for rhythm & blues music into a musical act, they became their alter egos, Jake & Elwood Blues, and brought along some of the all-time greatest r&b musicians into a musical act that set both the music charts and movie charts on fire and created a pop culture phenomenon. After a couple of appearances on SNL, Aykroyd and Belushi left the show and along with director John Landis, created one of the greatest cult classic movies of all time, 1980's The Blues Brothers. Along with cameos by r&b greats James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, & Aretha Franklin, as well as Blues Brothers band members such as Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Matt "Guitar" Murphy and Paul Shaffer among others, they pooled their respective musical and comedic talents together and came out with a raucous musical comedy that would resonate years and decades later.Listen on as we recall such immortal movie lines such as "Lots of space in this mall!" and of course, "We're on a mission from God!"Don't make the Penguin angry -- listen to this show!
